Primary Focus Area
- Health:- We provided preventive kits and raise awareness to the people against covid-19 epidemic. We organise health camps to distribute medicines as per the protocols and guidelines issued by the Government. We put forward a helping hand to the people battling with situation and encouraging them self-help practice.
- Employment:- We empower people with opportunities for employment and share information about modern "Knowledge brings humbleness". In the field of education, we bestow Books and supplementary elements in Anganwadi.
- Education:- Education is a means as well as the end to a better life. The means as it empowers an individual to earn livelihood and teaches social behaviour. Children from lower strata of society may find it difficult to support education for their children. We contribute to providing them with books and other items necessary for learning.
- Farming:- Farmers being the backbone of our society, we help the farmers by empowering and providing them the necessary information regarding equipment, seeds and other essentials to cultivate. With time, new techniques have evolved in agriculture which help in increasing productivity. To encourage this process, we also offer a form of token of appreciation to farmers for their exemplary work and those who become inspiration for others.
Aims and Objectives
- To look forward to and attend to the peaceful co-existence of people belonging to Uttarakhand in different parts of the country; helping them attain basic needs, employment issues and their all round progress through educational and professional training.
- To try and limit the extent of migration of people from hilly areas.
- Preserving and promoting the culture and natural resources of the region and prevent its misuse.
- Protect and take all efforts to safeguard environment and spread awareness about the environment, pollution, ways to control pollution.
- To spread a word about importance of health, hygiene and organising health camps to attain designated purposes.
- To curb social evils related to women, dowry, unemployment, and serving the cause of needy, unemployed, old and people in distress.
- To stress upon the environment of value based society and citizenship through campaigns and workshops.
- To acknowledge and appreciate the talent of people belonging to Uttarakhand, who show unique abilities in their field of interest or occupation.
Awards Ceremony By Rashtriya Uttarakhand Sabha
We choose to rise out of the storm and see that in moments of desperation, fear, and helplessness, each of us can be a rainbow of hope, doing what we can to extend ourselves in kindness and grace to one another. And we know for sure that is not them – there’s only us.
1. Uttam Kisan Samman
This Initiative is for those farmers who take extra effort to improve their agricultural productivity. These farmers proved to be an inspiration for many. They not only adopt innovative techniques but also apply unique methodologies to supplement their incomes. To honour such people of high caliber, Rashtriya Uttarakhand Sabha has come up with this bright approach to bring them into the limelight, so that they not only escalate their potential, however, inspire thousands of lives around.
2. Maa Nanda Shakti Samman
This ceremony is held for Women’s empowerment, promoting women’s sense of self-worth, their potential to determine their own choices, and their right to leverage the social changes for themselves and others. It is a fundamental human right that is also keyed to acquiring a more peaceful and prosperous world. For the first time in the year 2019, the Maa Nanda Shakti Samman Ceremony was organized at Jaipur, Rajasthan for the talents of Uttarakhand women, 21 women who achieved remarkable successes in different fields were given Maa Nanda Shakti Samman. Their struggle and definitive achievements have gained determined appreciation and respect.
